Spring Garden
Last year i had 37 tomato plants and 27 jalapenos, with a few bell peppers and banana peppers. I dehydrated tons of tomatoes and sliced/froze about half a ton of jalapenos.
This year, 3 tomatoes and 3 hills of cucumbers so far. Maybe a few hills of yellow squash.

Re: Spring Garden
Cucumbers are going in tomorrow. So far I have 6 cherry tomato plants. Went with cherry this year because everyone likes to pop a few in their mouths on their way in and out and we like them better in salads.
I have a butt load of different herbs going, 2 rounds of sugar and snap peas, got spaghetti squash and butternut started indoors.
Yesterday I got home from the store and discovered I had absentmindedly put a packet of eggplant seeds in my pocket. Wasn't planning on going with eggplant, but here they are so might as well. The package says they are a container variety, so can be grown in 12 inch pots. Interesting. I'll still plant some out in the field, see how they do.

Re: Spring Garden
3 short rows of potatoes. 5 are up. (Should be more.)
6 ea. of 'maters and bell peppers. Still in pots; going in next week.
13 garlic in a big tub. All up, doing well.
Green onion in a small tub, for early eats. Lots more will go in garden.
4 rows of corn to plant.
Did a lot of repotting indoor plants yesterday. Got this great Dorado tree. (So proud of it. :) )
*Thanks for the reminder. I need to start a new pot of Wandering Jew for a hanger.
Should've planted parsley. May, yet.
Anyway, you guys' gardens sound great! :thumbsup2:

Dude, if you plant summer squash, get some "Patty Pan"https://1rxbfb2hflyo2jt6jd3f6sjr-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/SQ763__Pattypans_Blend_1.jpgHawkTheSlayer wrote:Last year i had 37 tomato plants and 27 jalapenos, with a few bell peppers and banana peppers. If you take it early, before the seeds proliferate, and slice it thick, baste in Garlic butter and grill it, man you'll love it. It is awesome mixed with Yellow and zukes and fried in Butter, lots of salt and pepper. Man!!!
Damn. I am making myself hungry.

But dang, if you're not gettin' good at reminding me of stuff. That's another thing I need to pick up tomorrow. Impatiens. And pansies, and, and, and...
Oh yeah. I want a Boston Fern.
Just did my pot shopping, (no, not that kind), in the garden shed. Need some revamping in that dept., too.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Gettin' my hair cut, then heading for the garden centers.

Re: Spring Garden
My tulips all died. They were so pretty inside their own little white picket fence Mr. 2 built for me. (Sorry, Mr. Cent just sounds too weird. lol)Calypso Jones wrote:it's cold here again. Tulips are up and beautiful. I need to put them somplace else. Richer.
Hope you have better luck than I did. Bet you have a much greener thumb - and probably much better soil.
