Random thoughts about the Royals, here and there

I didn't watch the interview because it didn't interest me but you can't avoid the media snippets.   Yes, live and let live but by the same token if you hold the royal family in such esteem I would think that you would take objection to what was aimed at them by Markle.  Markle ain't no Princess Diana.

I won't speak for what's said on other forums because I haven't read it and it's irrelevant anyway. The Queen is all class, William is all class, Harry is being led by the nose.

Put yourself out there to the world and cry victim and you have to expect backlash no matter who you are.

When Danny Baker tweeted his infamous picture at the news of their baby boy leaving hospital I cringed, if I would of been Harry I would have left England that very day and not looked back, the embarrassment for the couple must have been heartbreaking..... don’t you agree?



I believe they should be left alone.

No-one in the political public eye can be left alone, Neo.   Be that Trump, Biden, Boris or the Royals.  It goes with the territory and even though the Queen is supposedly politically neutral she isn't really.

Don't take it personally.  Markle is the one putting it out there and is trying to rock the foundations of the monarchy thinking she is the second coming of Diana.   She's not and it's backfiring.

I have no idea who those people in that pic are sorry.

Well the pic doesn't look like Harry and Markle to me but regardless it is in bad taste so

Apologies for being so uneducated that I have absolutely no clue who Danny Baker is.

Danny Baker and Johnathan Ross are tv funny men , they both hosted a radio show that basically let  them run riot,  each of them tried to out  do each other in pushing bad taste as far as they could.
Danny Baker thought he could get away with anything.

Didn't she, though. That lady has remarkable talent for gracefully driving the arrow straight home to its mark. Then again, she is one sharp lady, all around.

The two of them deciding to air family dirty laundry in public - especially in that venue - was in very poor taste of all involved. It did no one any favors.

For those who have worked and lived over here for a while you’ll have some idea of what royalty means to us.

I am familiar with royalties and peasantry.
I'm just a peasant but oil was at $68/bbl this morning.

I'm hoping this upturn in price will cause the powers that be to create a new land plot unit and lease my land with at least a 1/5 royalty contract. The leases themselves are going for $1000/acre per 3 year lease. All monies paid up front , not yearly . This equates to about $333/year but is guaranteed for three years.

And if they decide to drill in said unit and are successful, I may die a King instead of a pauper.

You can try to respond to every tom dick and harry's remarks or you can take the high road and ignore it..which is what harry and meghan should have done. When you're in the public eye, this happens. The queen has gone through much worse in her life.

Additionally...meghan and harry...shut up. Stop airing your dirty laundry in public. We have our own problems.
