Random Thoughts about Commercials

Been hearing this commercial lately at least 4 times and it's this girl woman leaving a message on a friend's phone that she'd lost her job lately and found this app about calling on friends for support. And she was wondering if the recipient of the call could come over after their shift to help the caller girl woman figure out what to do or something.

for some reason...this bothers me.

If this is a serious pandemic then why do we have to keep being reminded on the radio that this is a serious pandemic and social distance wear your mask, get your vaccine, don't congregate with people, stay in your home.

just doesn't make any kind of sense.

I hear that on the radio, except it's a guy doing the commercial. The way it's done is annoying. I'm all for people with depression getting help, but listening to this commercial is kind of a downer for everybody. Who is going to turn to an "app" for help? You go to your friends, parents, clergy, counselors, doctor, etc....

I think i've heard the guy too but she sounds particularly emotionally crippled.

are you joking??      I haven't seen the commercial only heard it on radio.  But then...i am not watching the usual tv and i definitely don't listen to news.  any of it. except for Rush's show at noon.

I've seen Queen Latifah's commercial to tell your doctor what you are feeling.   I'd like to punch her in the throat.  latifah that is, and now that i think of it, the doctor too.

Nope. I just saw it on tv. An ad with a black women saying an app had saved her life. I really wasn't paying attention to what it was but i lol. Had to be the same ad.

I noticed Vanilla Ice last night before I skipped through that set of commercials, so I watched it. It got a chuckle out of me. It was nice to see one not pandering or virtue signaling for a change. The rest are pretty decent too...

Hell. Next thing you know they'll be telling us to wash your dishes in cold, take a bath in cold..... and then "We comin' to take yer dishwashers.' I don't know what imelda and luis would do if that happened.
