Random thoughts about Scripture
I was reading Luke today regarding Jesus ejecting demons from their human hosts. THey talked and recognized Jesus as the Holy One from God. People were standing there witnessing this. Did they see and hear the demons as they were exorcised from these human hosts?? It seems to indicate that they did but i dont know for sure and so far haven't found anything written about it.
Luke 4:31-37
English Standard Version
Jesus Heals a Man with an Unclean Demon
31 And he went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. And he was teaching them on the Sabbath,
32 and they were astonished at his teaching, for his word possessed authority.
33 And in the synagogue there was a man who had the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,
34 “Ha![a] What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God.”
35 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him down in their midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm.
36 And they were all amazed and said to one another, “What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”
37 And reports about him went out into every place in the surrounding region.
~~
It appears they saw and heard it. What must that have been like i wonder??

Our politicians especially the democrats are big on talkin COMPROMISE. But what does the bible say about compromise. You DON"T compromise with evil.
Our repunks are always talking about their friends across the aisle. Fools. They are not your friends. They sat on their hands while one of their own shot up the repunks ball practice..nearly killing one. if those are your friends...you don't have to worry about your enemies, Charlie Brown.
You don't associate with evil. And evil is the party that wants to undermine our freedom, kill the unborn and say that God is fine with abortion. They're cheaters, liars, murderers, sex perverts and more.
1 Corinthians 15:33 Bad company ruins good morals.

The Bible tells us to "flee all appearance of evil" and to be a "peculiar people". While we are to pray for those who are or do evil, we should never call them "friends" as the Bible says, "what does darkness have to do with light?" Jesus is the light of the world and we are to be lights shining on the hill for and with Him. None are righteous no, not one so we would have to disassociate with ourselves if we were not going to associate with evil. A good rule of thumb is to be IN the world but, not OF the world...

Galatians 6:9
King James Version
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
I'm weary. Still gonna do the right thing, but I'm weary. This verse is seemingly contradictory. I'm guessing it means don't let your weariness overtake you to the point where you just give up and give in. But it's okay to be tired, is it not? It's your actions that follow that are going to count, one would certainly have to hope.

As the Bible says, works without faith is dead but, so is faith without works. Yes, it is "okay" to be tired, Jesus tired and rested. Our actions stem from what is inside of us, evil actions from those who are evil inside. The Bible tells us that apart from God, we can do nothing. So our actions alone are not going to matter, it is why we do those actions that matter.

Wait, why the quotation marks?

Because I was quoting you. You asked if it was okay to be tired.
Re: Random thoughts about Scripture
Remember this scripture: Daschle quoted it right after 911, so did GWBush if i remember correctly and one other person.
Isaiah 9: specifically starting with verse 10.
The Lord’s Anger Against Israel
8 The Lord has sent a message against Jacob;
it will fall on Israel.
9 All the people will know it—
Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria—
who say with pride
and arrogance of heart,
10 “The bricks have fallen down,
but we will rebuild with dressed stone;
the fig trees have been felled,
but we will replace them with cedars.”
11 But the Lord has strengthened Rezin’s foes against them
and has spurred their enemies on.
12 Arameans from the east and Philistines from the west
have devoured Israel with open mouth.
Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away,
his hand is still upraised.
13 But the people have not returned to him who struck them,
nor have they sought the Lord Almighty.
14 So the Lord will cut off from Israel both head and tail,
both palm branch and reed in a single day;
15 the elders and dignitaries are the head,
the prophets who teach lies are the tail.
16 Those who guide this people mislead them,
and those who are guided are led astray.
17 Therefore the Lord will take no pleasure in the young men,
nor will he pity the fatherless and widows,
for everyone is ungodly and wicked,
every mouth speaks folly.
Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away,
his hand is still upraised.
18 Surely wickedness burns like a fire;
it consumes briers and thorns,
it sets the forest thickets ablaze,
so that it rolls upward in a column of smoke.
19 By the wrath of the Lord Almighty
the land will be scorched
Somebody atheist democrat should have read the entire chapter to put it in context. I rather think that this is the beginning of a curse on the United States. These fool speech writers had no discernment or understanding of the text they had their employer (daschle, Bush, etc) quote...that's rats and punks.
Now look where we are.
We have an imbecile in the white house and a whore waiting in the wings. If that is not judgement...i don't know what is.
Isaiah 3:12
11Woe to the wicked; disaster is upon them! For they will be repaid with what their hands have done.
12Childish Leaders oppress My people, and women rule over them.
O My people, your guides mislead you; they turn you from your paths.
13The LORD arises to contend; He stands to judge the people.…
