Random thoughts on personal experiences with Let's Go Brandon situations
Today, GHQ and i stopped at hardees locally in order to grab a drink before heading home with purchases. I ordered the usual, medium diet DP for me, Medium Regular coke for GHQ. The lady on the intercom said, 'just so you know...the drinks that were formerly MEDIUM have now been reduced to 20ounces because of that idiot in the white house. LOLOLLOLOL I KID YOU NOT THAT IS EXACTLY what she said.
I said in response. Let's Go Brandon. LOLOLOL

They're starting to come out. And frankly I think that's progress.
I went to pick up CPAP filters today...my VA CPAP technician quit rather than getting stuck ("Retired" I was told, or I think the receptionist said, through her face-diaper). He was about 50. He didn't retire.
They closed the CPAP unit in the clinic. Because of course they lost a third of their staff, maybe more.
So, I went to the medical-supplies place where I used to go when I had private insurance. I can't buy facemasks or tubing, but I can buy filters without their having a prescription on file. So I did.
The technician was a guy I never saw before...that's getting to be normal. He got the filters, while fooling with his costume mask...and we got to talking about what I was going to do now that the VA had closed that unit.
From there, it went to what happens when medical care for me is cut off.
We talked a bit about going out in the woods...seems he knew a family that staked out a gold mine. I'm not sure how it's done in modern Montana, but there is a way - although they didn't do it properly; that's now an abandoned claim, he told me. Phillipsburg, not far from here.
From there, we talked of my disappointment I couldn't just set up in Elkhorn, a onetime ghost town, now re-occupied, and not by friendly folks. I went through the entertaining encounter I might have: My interrogator might have a gun in one hand, and be pointing down the road with his other hand.
"Well, that's why you bring your own guns along." Bad advice but the right attitude.
We discussed the difficulty with that. You need an intermediary. That is, a body is very inconvenient; and leaving it lay there wastes meat.
But cadavar is not on my diet. Soooo...I'd have to get some pigs up there for that purpose. Corpse, fed to pigs; bacon in the fall. Four pounds of feed, one pound of gain, they tell me.
I would not have expected a conversation like this. We're talking EOTWAWKI...and he's got his own ideas, not that much different from my own.
You just don't know. Now if I could somehow stumble into an organized group...

If only I could've cleared my throat. Here we were at P/T. The assistant was in the middle of deciding which exercise to head towards next, leaving an unfinished sentenced, "Let's go..."
I did say, "Brandon?", but my throat was so dry no one heard it. Bummer.
*FWIW, @Calypso Jones, any time someone in a store, the doc's office, any public arena - has a negative comment to say about the economy, I canNOT resist, "Yeah, 'Let's go Brandon'." I'm yet to be met with disagreement on that one.

I can't think of an exact instance, but I did use it in Delaware last week on a military base.
