Re: Best looking cars
No, they're aftermarket.
My own had stock. Belonged to a wealthy Cleveland, Texas family, with a pass to Lake Houston Country Club on the glass.
Had been well cared for, but then, it was sold out of a sleazy We-Tote-The-Note lot to probably about five Mexicans, before I bought it and kept it.
Interesting car for a rich suburbanite. Had a four-speed manual transmission and heavy-duty suspension. It was better handling than the Chevette I had a few years earlier.

Honest to gawd...do not, DO NOT, buy a modern Jeep! Not unless you like spending incredible amounts of money on repairs, early on.
Jeep hasn't been a quality product since Chrysler was its own company. And Chrysler only was that way because AMC, beset by quality and money issues, really did learn the Japanese way of quality control, and were on its way to perfecting it. Which is astounding, since that revelation happened while Renault owned them - and Renault is the opposite of quality. Perhaps, in the end, that was why Renault was so eager to sell the whole thing to Chrysler..
But, anyway. Jeeps of the 1950s-1980s were simple, if sloppily made and parts-bin engineered. You could fix them with a hammer and a dime for a screwdriver.
Jeeps from 1988 to 2005, used quality Chrysler parts for electronics, while continuing to use quality AMC engines. Chrysler actually adopted the AMC four for the Dakota truck.
Daimler was moving away, but slowly. But Fiat made that a dash - use Eye-talian design, everywhere...cut the cost! We got to take our Jeep profits and pour them into Alfa Romeo! We gotta build more Fiat dealerships!
Now with Stellantis (Fiat and Peugeot combined) it's going to be ten times worse.
Do some online research on how well Chrysler-Fiat engines and transmissions are holding out. Then...if you have to have a Jeep...get a Kaiser M715 five-quarter ton truck.
You can fit a Chevy engine in one, easily. When Jeep was Kaiser, they used Buick engines in Wagoneers...same basic truck.

FWIW, I'm looking at the 3.0l diesel they've been using in the Ram 1500s. I have a friend who had a Ram 1500 diesel and he loved it. My son is a diesel mechanic and will have some decent experience under his belt when the warranty expires. The electronics are a little overwhelming in the new Jeeps, but I'll manage. I don't have the facilities for a project vehicle right now. Maybe after I build the barndo.
