Darn Good chocolate cake.... i doubt that

The number 1 reason I don't like baking. I have to eat it.

So I've cut down but still have the urge here and there because I like baking.  Today I have a distinct desire for some cheese cookies with a pinch of cayenne.

They're easy. Butter, flour, sharp cheese, salt and pepper. Some cayenne or mustard if you like. Just form in into a dough and roll it out into like a long sausage. Then cut the sausage into say 1/4 discs and bake for 12 mins or so.

So here's what i'm thinking. You ladies tell me what you think. I have this pink cake mix...it says buttery vanilla flavor. I'm gonna use the recipe for the Darn Good Chocolate cake but i'm going to replace the chocolate instant pudding with Vanilla instant pudding and the chocolate chips with crush blue bird peppermints. Then use a cream cheese or a homemade vanilla buttercream frosting.

what do you think?

I never use cake mix unless it's for fairy cakes so I can't comment there. Sounds good though and I love love love cream cheese frosting. Especially with carrot and banana cakes.

Someone sent me a slice of strawberry (pink) cake with cream cheese frosting the other week and it was delicious.

Fairy Cake? I don't think i know that one.
