What's going on Weather wise in your area?

Very hot and hazy, here - with forest-fire smoke. Not sure from where. I don't even bother trying to read the daily birdcage-liner - which isn't a daily anymore, it's three days a week. Because no one reads their dreck.

And they don't get that.

I have to guess where the smoke is coming from, but it's not abnormal, this time of summer. But, hot...sun is just setting now. I have eastern exposure, I can't see it...thass okay, I was out in it all day.

It is typical July weather.

It's going to be another record setting heat day. Temps will be close to 100. I don't even want to go outside today. Instant soaking of sweat.

However, we have also been setting records for all-time high minimum temps at night at over 80 degrees.

The last 2 nights have been more seasonal with nighttime lows in the upper 70s. This morning it was 75

90 degrees at 11:30 am with just a passing cloud. Another good solar day but I don't feel like setting up panels in this heat.

I'm trying to relax but the coffee has got me jittery. Lol.

Pop went to Baton Rouge To get parts. I just know he's going to come here this afternoon and want me to install them in the sun.

I have my toes crossed that he will wait till in the morning.

92 at noon.

High will be 106 here today, but some areas could see as high as 110.

94 at 1pm with a heat index of 109. I saw Lafayette reached a heat index of 118 yesterday. Yet no excessive heat warnings until Wed. Just heat advisories.

96 at 2pm.

Currently, 97 and HI=111.
RH=50%

107 in Dallas.

Half the humidity makes a big difference.
