Weather extremes: scorching sunshine and snowstorms to hit across Australia this weekend.  An unusually cold front is sweeping across the southeast while heatwaves are expected in other parts.

Summer snow in the Australian Alps and scorching temperatures just 395kms (245ml).

I went skiing in New Mexico in 1986 at the end of the season. The temperature outside was 60 degrees, but there was still plenty of snow. I went shirtless. Best tan ever.
