Supreme Court Hands Trump 9-0 Win In Colorado

The other important court decision today
Almost everyone is fixated today--and understandably so--on the SCOTUS's ruling in the Colorado case. It will surely extend to Maine and Illinois, also. (Of course, Trump has no chance of winning any of these--Maine's electoral system, however, is a bit different than that of most states--as Nebraska's is, also.)

But there is another court case that came down today that is rather important.

No, this was not decided by the US Supreme Court.

Rather, it was decided by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, in Louisiana.

As CNN.com puts it:

"A federal appeals court granted a temporary stay of a lower court’s decision to block the enforcement of a controversial Texas immigration law, paving the way for it to go into effect this week if the Supreme Court doesn’t intervene.

"Last week, a federal judge in Austin, Texas, blocked the state government from implementing Senate Bill 4, which would allow state law enforcement authorities to arrest and detain people they suspect of entering the country illegally."

This has now been reversed.
