Supreme Court Hands Trump 9-0 Win In Colorado

The Supreme Court has issued a speedy ruling in a case over former president Donald Trump's ballot eligibility, handing the Republican candidate a unanimous victory.

The ruling came less than a month after hearing oral arguments, and at the time the Court seemed very skeptical of the decision.

While the state of Colorado had barred Trump from being on the ballot over Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, the Court ruled that "[b]ecause the Constitution makes Congress, rather than the States, responsible for enforcing Section 3 against federal officeholders and candidates, we reverse." However, the Court did not address whether or not Trump actually took part in an insurrection, which was central to the reasoning behind Colorado's decision.

Interestingly, the three liberal justices - Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown-Jackson - issued a concurring opinion, stating that they agree Colorado cannot keep Trump off the ballot.

In their view, however, they believe five justices go further and "decide novel constitutional questions to insulate this Court and [Trump] from further controversy," when they ruled "that a disqualification for insurrection can occur only when Congress enacts a particular kind of legislation pursuant to Section 5 of the Fourteenth Amendment. In doing so, the majority shuts the door on other potential means of enforcement."

I believe that they took this stand only because they realize that other states ,in the future , could use this against liberals , minorities and just about every group in the Democrat base . The fools in the states that brought up these proposals really must be ignorant and should not be allowed to have power in any position in this country . They have tunnel vision and were only he'll bent on keeping someone they dislike personally .

The next ruling the Court needs to address is this stupidity of using the word " insurection" regarding Trump and the Jan 6th protesters . None of the Jan 6th DC protectors have been charged with anything and are still being held in the DC dungeon without a trial - that is nothing short of Political bias and against the law and the Democrats that put them in there are staining their underwear wondering what will happen to them if and when Trump returns . Trump also has never been tried for " insurrection " so the refusal of these states to allow Trump being on their ballot because he's an" insurrectionist " is pure stupidity on their part and any court can see that .
I've personnly never have read about any historic takeover of any government without weapons - maybe I'm wrong but its kind of a impossible thing to do . But the Democrat mind probably were all psychedelic song writers and they used that aforementioned "KlSD " I mentioned elsewhere .

Trump is a threat to the left and hopefully this will see their tyranny start to crumble.  They say Trump is a threat to democracy yet do their best to limit and control who you can vote for.

Sotomayor, Kagan and Jackson must have been swallowing bile on this one.

The Democrats tried to disenfranchise half the country from their right to vote for the candidate of their choice and it didn't work.

Their heads are on fire about this ruling. They are going completely nuts.

Funny that progressive marxists oare just fine with the court until an obvious, unanimous ruling on the issue of ballot tampering with a candidate that has never been tryed or convicted.

Then the Supremes are illegitimate.

Well they can't cancel SCOTUS. As much as they'd like to they just look silly.
