The other important court decision today
Almost everyone is fixated today--and understandably so--on the SCOTUS's ruling in the Colorado case. It will surely extend to Maine and Illinois, also. (Of course, Trump has no chance of winning any of these--Maine's electoral system, however, is a bit different than that of most states--as Nebraska's is, also.)

But there is another court case that came down today that is rather important.

No, this was not decided by the US Supreme Court.

Rather, it was decided by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, in Louisiana.

As CNN.com puts it:

"A federal appeals court granted a temporary stay of a lower court’s decision to block the enforcement of a controversial Texas immigration law, paving the way for it to go into effect this week if the Supreme Court doesn’t intervene.

"Last week, a federal judge in Austin, Texas, blocked the state government from implementing Senate Bill 4, which would allow state law enforcement authorities to arrest and detain people they suspect of entering the country illegally."

This has now been reversed.

I believe that they took this stand only because they realize that other states ,in the future , could use this against liberals , minorities and just about every group in the Democrat base . The fools in the states that brought up these proposals really must be ignorant and should not be allowed to have power in any position in this country . They have tunnel vision and were only he'll bent on keeping someone they dislike personally .
The Supreme Court ,luckily , has for sight .

I believe it's deeper than that - it's essentially their own survival.

If they'd done what their political masters expected them to do, which was vote the Liberal Party Line...immediately the Woketard Dumbos would have risen up, demanding the Court be packed and the Trump nominees and supporters all Impeached.

Well, that essentially turns the SCOTUS into a joke in bad taste. And...the pendulum do swing. If Justices can be impeached for voting against the wishes of the party in power...looks like Xiden is implementing a MASSIVE power shift. THEY all could be removed, and - since all three of them are intellectual lightweights and winners of Identity Politics - their removal could be for arguments a lot more substantive than simply defending the Constitution against Trump Derangement.

They only voted that way because they knew if some states could keep Trump off their ballot, then other states could keep Biden off theirs. It wasn't about doing the right thing; it was all to protect Biden.
