With junk-science pushing actual science aside, with traditional religious beliefs being discarded in favor of Deep Ecology and belief in Alien Intervention...Nature abhors a vacuum, and superstition is taking the place of morality and science.

Nonetheless...people are REALLY on edge, now. I don't know how earthquakes tie to eclipses - and I was there the last time the New Madrid Fault shifted a little bit, an earthquake in Northeastern Ohio, 1986. No solar eclipses involved.

But bad stuff happens. We've had a lot of bad stuff happen...we developed an ensconced leadership class, all of one generation...and that is now the Geritol Generation, all of them senile. They're now testing the crap their Frankfurt School-trained professors taught them sixty years ago...really brilliant stuff, like No Borders. Last nation to try that, was Rome - and we know how that worked out, those of us who put some value on history.

So we're gonna have a dramatic natural phenomenon, at a time when our public is ignorant, drugged, in many cases brain-damaged from various Big Pharma treatment. At a time when 17th-Century Metistos and 21st-Century Chinese saboteurs are overrunning the nation.

Nothing good is gonna come of it.

Since my hometowns - Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and Chautauqua County, New York - are both gonna be in the center of it, I'd considered a little pleasure trip. Cost is not a problem - I have, now, a small truck and a smaller car. The car delivers 45 miles a gallon, no lie. Travel cost is miniscule. The truck delivers 25-30, but I can camp in the bed of it - I have a tent that fits to the loadbed, saving me motel costs.

But I know the chaos the whole belt, from Chicago to Buffalo, and down through Columbus, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, even Pittsburgh...are in from this invasion. NO place is safe. And the cops are now using Asset Forfeiture laws to roll out-of-state travelers. Pull over a schlub with out-of-state tags. Search his car for money. Find money? Criminal Tools. Case will be thrown out by the presiding judge, it always is; but Asset Forfeiture laws don't require the cops to return what they seized.

I AM NOT JOKING. I enquired as to buying Travelers' Checks; but while American Express still sells them, I'm not an AMEX card holder or member.
