It's business and most people tend to inflate things a little when getting a business loan.  The bank did their due diligence, were satisfied and loaned him the money.  The money was repaid in full with interest.  Who was harmed?  No-one!

mar-a-argo has many deed restrictions of a permanent nature, it requires a huge maintenance and is a commercial property.
It is entirely different to John Malones'  22,057-square-foot home on over nine acres of land with Atlantic and Intracoastal views.

You are leaving out the four most important entities. IRS, NYS equivalent, NYC equivalent. And NYC property tax entity. All of which stand to gain by additional taxes if he had under stated valuations. Furthermore none of these had questioned the valuations and were satisfied with the taxes received. Now if in fact he overstated the valuations, he overpayed taxes to all these entities and is owed refunds from all of them.
In closing DJT should sue both James and Erdogan in FL. For Billions. This should not be a civil suit but criminal. Once convicted he can proceed with a civil suit against NYS and NY. I am seldom in favor of taxpayers footing the fines, but in this case "elections have consequences"

I have no idea what may happen on the tax fronts.
I doubt trumps tax valuations match when he says they are worth when trying to get cheap finance.
