Re: Hydrogen cars
There are several ways to make H2. The easiest is methane CH4. The result is CO2 and H2. No savings there. The other is electrolizing water. As water is a very strong covalent bond. It requires a fair amount of energy to break it down. As someone on another forum says, "when I think of H2 I think of Hindenburg. While this is admirable on Cummins part it is only a temporary solution at best.
There is a company in Brooklyn, NY that makes electric vehicles using ammonia as a fuel NH3. Fuel cells weigh far less than either batteries or a diesel engine. Refueling is the same as gas or diesel engines. it weighs slightly more than a gallon of gasoline

Re: Hydrogen cars
Why do we keep thinking CO2 is bad? It's needed for photosynthesis. Without it, PLANTS DIE. Which means, all life dies.
The CO2 "pollution" assertion is the Big Lie. First, it's relatively stable in the environment. Second, it's self-regulating - more CO2, more plant life, more benefits from plant life, reduction in temperature and CO2.
Third, it is NOT a massive factor in the environment. Take Mile High Stadium. Lotta seats there. Now, CO2 in the environment, is about six seats filled.
This is a RUSE - to translate public ignorance into complete tyranny through industrial energy control.

Yes they did, it even has a "special sound" Again it is an ICE with all of its foibles. I have forgotten the efficiency of an ICE, it is quite low, as much energy is wasted in the radiator and exhaust pipe in the form of heat. H2 burns at 5000F. That be a whole lot of heat to dissipate.
