My overall position on transgender is sport is they should ALL be put in the 'higher' grade of their age grouping.
So any Transgender would automatically be put in the boys/mens competition.
Other than that it's unfair on whoever is in the 'lower' grade section of their sport.
I don't care what side of the politics do that, I agree with it.

He did say he does not want trans playing against women - which I agree with.
He did say it might detract from a trans life pleasure if a trans cannot play a sport they love - I agree.
He abstained from his vote because of that dilemma.

Note to @Moderator. Some one has hacked Sprints name and is creating somewhat rational posts.Sprintcyclist wrote:His comments are well reasoned.' ............... Gordon said he believes the bill’s intent is “well-meaning as a way to protect the integrity and fairness of women’s sports in our state,” but that an outright ban “sends a harmful message that these individuals and their families do not deserve the same opportunities as others.” The law is effective July 1 and therefore will not impact students until the next school year. Gordon’s statement says he has committed to work with Megan Degenfelder, Wyoming superintendent of Public Instruction, to ensure that there’s clear guidance for how transgender students can “have some means to participate safely in interscholastic activities after this law goes into effect, recognizing sadly that may mean these young people may not be able to compete in athletics.” ............... Yes, females sports should be fair.
Transgenders CAN participate in sports still. They can play against stronger opposition - ie, males. Unless an all transgender competition can be organised.
I've been involved in a few sports organistions for my kids. Sometimes you would have some kid you were unsure what group to put them into.
They always went into the higher competitive group. Else the other group are disadvantaged.
A trans against women disadvantages the females. It is not fair.
