About me:  I'm a recently divorced father of 3 sons and grandfather of 2 granddaughters.  I'm a USAF veteran.  I work 55-60 hrs/wk as a field engineer on Uninterruptible Power Supplies.  I'm an open book with lengthy threads here about my personal life.  Because I am so open about my personal life, there is no way I could be consistently dishonest.  I live just East of Dallas, TX.  I am careful enough to not allow myself to be doxxed.  I rarely even give my first name, but it seemed like the thing to do here.

Fair enough.  We are close neighbors.  I live near Tyler, TX.  After sailing all the seven seas of modern day and antiquity, I worked as a field engineer in marine electronics doing installs and mostly as a roving troubleshooter on ships and those big beautiful yachts.  Taught college for a few years and now am happily retired.  Amazing what you can do with the right woman in your life.  We even met on-line.  Having retired comfortably, I am ready to start a new chapter.  Trying to complete one of three novels, but...you know....  Live with my wife and four cats.

There was that one guy on an Aussie forum who tried to dox me.  I'm less concerned about it now that I am single and don't have a family to protect.  I have no problem meeting forum members for dinner if they are in town.  In fact, I've done it once.  That member met my brother and niece and saw where I lived and rode in my company van.  We had a nice visit.  I only know a few first names, and that's enough.  I also don't share information about other posters unless they are VERY open with that information so that it's common knowledge.

I wasn't trying to scare anybody with the "doxxing" comment.  It's just how I roll on the internet.  I limit identifying info, but am otherwise an open book. - Honest.

I have a cousin who is an investigator for a nearby county sheriff's office, but he also works in Tyler for the BATFE.  It's a beautiful area.  I'm looking to build a barndominium near Wills Point or Canton.
