1945
World War II: Benito Mussolini is arrested by Italian partisans in Dongo, while attempting escape disguised as a German soldier.
Mussolini and his mistress Clara Petacci were shot and killed under orders of the partisan communist leader and later dumped in a plaza in Milan where Mussolini had years before dumped partisan bodies and let them rot to make a statement to the locals .
Although they were already dead thousands of locals stoned and disfigured the bodies ,particularly Mussolini and the hung them upside down on meat hooks from the roof of an service station that was unfinished .
Hitler learned of what happened to them and told his aids that it was not going to be that way if he got caught . He had Ava Braun ,his new wife take poison and possibly a bullet to the head and did the same to himself and his body was buried in front of the place they were held up .
Note : Mussolinis body was put in a unmarked grave and in 1959 he was given a funeral and a burial site by the Facist that were still holdovers from his old regime .

he was totaly to blame for the reversals of innovation his countries scientists encountered due to his niggardly holding back of matching state funding in projects. he set italy back 100 years for them being in the forefront at the begining of his reign.
