My post was emphasizing the lack of integrity of real estate
agent in not wanting to volunteer information unless they are asked...
Bit like an agent knowing that the roof leaks like a sieve but doesnt
say a word....
I know caveat emptor applies here but I also know that
some people have no scruples....

Watch Braveheart and you'll see people in those days living in
mud and stone huts....
Fast forward to say the 70s and the 80s and everyone lived in the land
of milk and honey (Oz) where dad went to work every day and mum stayed at home and looked after the house and the kids.....
Fast forward again to 2022 and we talk about people living in their
cars and shipping containers because they cant afford to buy a
house or pay the exorbitant rent...and mum and dad both have to
work to pay the bills...whilst the government props everyone
up with child care subsidies of 90%....
We now have a government which is spruiking about their
"half a house" home loans scheme...
Is this the wheel turning full cycle....
Living in cars...shipping containers...tents....half a house...
Maybe everyone should go out and build a mud hut in a
paddock somewhere....
Mud is free.....
Yep....that'll work....

Those shipping container houses wouldnt come cheap...and would take
a considerable amount of time to build....
Compare them to the NSW government plan of putting shipping containers
in a paddock near Wollongbar....
Like chalk and cheese.....

They use them in mining areas in Aus for accommodation, fitted with aircon, small bathroom, kitchen , I almost bought one a couple of years back, could have picked it up for 18k, They had been shipped from Australia

They are providing temporary housing, that's all. What should the government supply? 5 star accommodation followed by hundreds of free houses? Are you willing to fund that? Should everyone in Oz get a free house too?
