is anyone computer savvy around here?

No. I'm sure I can't help, but what seems to be the problem anyway?

have you turned it off and pulled out its battery for four hours yet? maybe tonight try that before sleepy night night.

I'm using a laptop so it's a bit hard to pull the battery in and out but the battery is shot and I have to keep the 'puter plugged in. So I'll get a new battery.

The other day my right shift key stopped working so I had to start using my left or I couldn't make capitals.  i o w e r c and m are all affected now.  

Now my left shift key also seems to be biting the dust and the only way to make any of those letters into capitals is to use then release the caps lock key.  This is all rather annoying and slows me down lol. I'm a naturally fast typist so it irks me having to peck at the keys turning things on and off.

I did something the other day and stupid Windows idiot 'sticky keys' box came up.  I've made sure sticky keys is turned off but that's when the problems started.

If I can find an old keyboard in the garage I'll plug that in but I won't hold my breath because I think I threw them all out.

I'm going to order a new battery and keyboard I guess.  Thought about a new 'puter but there's nothing wrong with this one other than all of the above problems and I hate setting up new computers lol.

By the way, try removing the keys and cleaning your keypad. Vacuum under the keys or get a can of air to blow out the crud.

Yes, thanks, I did that last night until I got to the e key and bits of plastic flew out from under it and it took me awhile to put them back the right way. I think that's when I decided just to get a new keypad and a battery whilst I'm at it. I used a q-tip and alcohol. There are little parts that fit together under the keys and I would have blown them away never to be found again lol.

I'm not afraid to pull it apart with the help of YouTube. I used to change the hardware in my desktop when I had one.

Many of the letters have worn off my keypad anyway.

I can count up to 20 now.
When i run out of fingers , I take off my shoes.
