Let me answer you
Jen wrote:And your government will get enough money from taxation of luxury items to fill in the thousands of dollars each day for every single fast food eatery in the country?izeltv wrote:2cent wrote:You do realize that a business has to charge enough for its product, in order to stay open, right?izeltv wrote:Jen wrote:How much would a burger and fries cost if everyone in the burger establishment was making at least $45 an hour?
@Jen Thank for your time and important question. Burger will be at a normal price. i will make an executive order to control inflation on necessities etc, the cherry on top i'll use my attorney general to fine companies that is caught price gouging.
Yes, I do realize that. I know $45/hr wage sounds scary because of inflation, but like i said my government will give business money to pay the difference in the wage increase. my executive orders will control inflation on necessities, rent etc. i know companies will price gouged Americans so that's why there will be punishment for "price Gouging". companies under my administration will have to justfy a price increase. if they can't they will have to bring their prices back down to normal. I will raise taxes on luxury items only, such as million dollar watches, yachts, things of that nature.
We've just spoken about fast food. What about all the other jobs that pay entry-level wages? Do you really think taxes on luxury items is going to cut it? What will that be? 100% taxation?
@Jen Yes my government will be the government to generate new wealth across America. My Prescence will be felt throughout the economy in a good way for the middle class and poor, but also for the rich. the only reason why the rich/elites doesn't want poverty to end is because they feel its somehow a threat to have a population full of healthy, educated, and wealthy people.
I want to make it very clear to you. if I'm declared president at the age of 35 (im currently 27). I will raise the federal minimum wage $7.25 to $45. All companies effected, will have to apply for government stimulus. which is what i plan for anyways. I want companies to get all the help they need. no company left behind, no HUMAN left behind.
also not only I will do $45/ min. wage, i will do $2,000 ubi each month until each person dies. I'm not taxing 100%, I will make sure my administration has common sense when it comes to taxation. America has too much wealth for people to be concerned and asking question on where money will come from.
You see trillions being spend every year, and none of that money goes into the pockets of Americans and I will change that ASAP as president of course.

Don't be a smart @$$. If i were to open a company now in the current state of the economy. of course my business will fail. If i were president no company will NEED money because i will stimulate each company with the money they need to pay there workers. ALL the math i have about this subject is on my personal forum.
if you dont want poverty to end just say so, there's no need to counter policies that is backed by data. @RV. because right now i can see your one of the ones thats apart of the problem. either by ignorance or willful ignorance, either or you need to fix the ignorance.

I worked my butt off for over 30 years to make $45/hr. Less government spending and lower taxes are all we need to succeed. You can’t force a “living wage” on every employer for every job. People will get lazy and companies can’t afford it. Government subsidies will just make things worse. Just look at Social Security or healthcare. Let people reap the rewards of their labor and ingenuity and hunger will motivate the lazy. Save the welfare for the truly needy.

i can't change the past, sorry you had to deal with a government that made you work so hard for little money. but to keep the next generation in poverty because YOU had to do it, is extremely selfish in the eyes of many. all do respect because you are my elder, but i must respond to your statement and speak for those who are suffering in silence.

First of all, I'm going to be blunt.......there's no way in hell, you'll ever be president, with ideas such as you've presented here.
Secondly, I see you're young, so, what you really need to focus on is, growing up and, getting a little more.......education.
