@jirqoadai BINGO!!!!! WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!! now I know you are a real OG, a REAL man. not just some keyboard warrior.
Thats why I'm running for President to end Poverty. I will not let anyone stand in the way of my bills. If they somehow vote against me. Anyone in power in the future will risk their seats if they committed ANY crimes while in power. I will have my attorney general investigate and prosecute those immediately. I will know the names of each person in congress that votes against my "end poverty bills". so I'm well prepared the way I see it.
keep talking to me. I'm the real deal and I'm built for the Job. I'm ready and you can trust me.
Re: $45 Minimum Wage @IzelTV
Okay. So hypothetically, you bring in $1000.00 a day in revenue, but at $45 an hour with, say, 6 employees (bare minimum) for 10 hours........their wages come to almost $3000. And that doesn't allow for the purchase of burgers, buns, condiments, potatoes, drinks.izeltv wrote:Jen wrote:How much would a burger and fries cost if everyone in the burger establishment was making at least $45 an hour?
@Jen Thank for your time and important question. Burger will be at a normal price. i will make an executive order to control inflation on necessities etc, the cherry on top i'll use my attorney general to fine companies that is caught price gouging.
Tell me where you get the several thousand dollars needed for each day you are open?
That should be an easy answer. Right? Presumably you know what it is.

And that $3,000.00 figure doesn't even include things like training, retirement, sick leave, vacation, personal days, payroll, taxes, workers compensation, insurance, etc. There are numerous costs with having employees besides wages. If an employee files charges (discrimination, sexual harassment, wage & hour issues, injuries, etc. real or imagined), there are fees and costs associated with that also.

companies will not lose money, if anything they will gain money because people will have extra spending money. so in theory sales will go up not down. only difference in my economy is people wont be making life decisions when ordering a sandwhich.

That fifteen dollar an hour thang has worked out SO WELL..that we really just should go with a 45 or EVEN A FIFTY dollar and hour wage... and REALLY destroy the country quickly..put it out of its misery.
yeah...THAT's THE TICKET.

Where have you been? It's being done.
My rent went from $500 to $1700 in the space of eight years. Gasoline prices tripled. Auto/truck prices doubled. Grocery prices tripled.
The car wash I use had a mechanical failure while I was in line. The kid manning the gate was by my window; we passed the time.
The car wash needed help; and they were paying $22 an hour. But, the kid said, that's not enough to live in our town.
TWENTY--TWO DOLLARS AN HOUR. When I started working for the State of Ohio in 1984, I was paid $6.95 an hour, raised to $7.23 an hour once I finished probation.
And...ALL THESE YEARS we had IDIOTS agitating to raise the minimum wage - while ALSO agitating for all this Free Shit and increased handouts.
How was/is it being paid for? MONEY PRINTING! The same thing that destroyed the French monarchy and Wiemar Germany. And Venezuela.
So now we have to deal with the result. And MORE-ONS like this one, want to increase the pace of it.

Look at Stellantis - the name for Chrysler's parent company, now. They gave the UAW a big fat raise in their contract - and made it up by jacking the prices of their cars and trucks made in America. Jeeps, Ram trucks, Chrysler and Dodge SUVs.
Now the consumer has reached HIS limit, and is not buying. Stellantis's sales are down 30 percent this year, and their stock prices are down from $34 to $13 a share. There is talk of bankruptcy - either closing the American divisions or the entire company.
So much for pay raises paying for themselves.

Re: $45 Minimum Wage @IzelTV
And your government will get enough money from taxation of luxury items to fill in the thousands of dollars each day for every single fast food eatery in the country?izeltv wrote:2cent wrote:You do realize that a business has to charge enough for its product, in order to stay open, right?izeltv wrote:Jen wrote:How much would a burger and fries cost if everyone in the burger establishment was making at least $45 an hour?

Yes, I do realize that. I know $45/hr wage sounds scary because of inflation, but like i said my government will give business money to pay the difference in the wage increase. my executive orders will control inflation on necessities, rent etc. i know companies will price gouged Americans so that's why there will be punishment for "price Gouging". companies under my administration will have to justfy a price increase. if they can't they will have to bring their prices back down to normal. I will raise taxes on luxury items only, such as million dollar watches, yachts, things of that nature.
We've just spoken about fast food. What about all the other jobs that pay entry-level wages? Do you really think taxes on luxury items is going to cut it? What will that be? 100% taxation?

Re: $45 Minimum Wage @IzelTV
Okay so if @izeltv has all the answers, the best way for him to prove his theory is to go into business, pay all the workers $45.00 per hour to start and show everyone how it's done!

I'll go ya' one better. When I started at the county, I made $2.55 per hour and had NO health insurance of any kind. I should add that I had a wife and child and had to pay out of pocket for all of their health care. We were at the mercy of the Commissioners as to our pay and benefits. When it benefitted the Commissioners, we were state employees, when it was more of a benefit to them, we were county employees.
Honestly, I was just grateful to have a job, ANY job to feed my family and keep a roof over our heads.
