"Bloodbath" is metaphorical. Common metaphor.

"Wet Work" comes from the CIA - their internal code language. Means slaughter - always did.

The term is never used in regular discussion. That Serpenthead chose to just toss it out, makes me wonder who the hell he's been hanging out with, of late.
