Animal grief ending in death

Michelle has joined Speck. Her grief was so profound that she stopped eating and drinking leading to catastrophic organ failure. Exactly the way my white cat died.

Never take animal grief lightly.

My thoughts are with you. Its very hard to lose a friend that's been with you a very long time.

Thank you all. This has been a shock. Especially to my son and daughter-in-law who had no idea an animal could have such strong emotions. The vet says it is more common than you might think.

I'm convinced animals have way more compassion for their loved ones than humans do.

Millions of human women have aborted their children over the past fifty or so years and show not one hint of remorse. And others have greedily profited off of it. I have never heard of a cat or a dog aborting their children.

We truly are a vile, failed species. We could learn a lot from animals.

Before Michelle died, my son and daughter-in-law got two kittens to cheer her up. Obviously that didn't work, but we still have the tornado twins.

My granddaughter has a huge pit bull who loves babies and has a heart of gold. She rescues all the kittens. Even some that belong to someone. She cares for kittens, puppies and will solemnly watch over tiny humans. We got the kittens from an abandoned litter she was caring for. Now they have room for more kittens.
