Lol, yeah, you can lie about it, twist what it says or just claim it says something it doesn't, Squint won't care. You can 'interpret' it to say whatever you want!

Some people believe that, because there have been so many different interpretations of the Bible over the centuries, trying to get at its actual meaning is almost hopeless. Nothing could be further from the truth. While there will always be small details in the biblical text that seem elusive to understand, the basic meaning of the Bible, passage by passage, is accessible to us all. Think of it this way: when Paul wrote a letter to a group of a believers he meant something specific and he wanted to be understood. So also David writing a Psalm or Jeremiah speaking an oracle or the writer of Chronicles giving a timeline or Luke giving his “orderly account” of the details of the life and ministry of Jesus. And, if the Bible is the word of God, we can also assume this: God wants to be understood. God has graced us with wisdom and guidance, with confrontation and warning, with love and hope—all delivered through the words of the prophets and apostles.
There are a few basic principles of Bible interpretation that actually apply to understanding any text. If we can hold these ideas in our heads when we read Scripture, most of what we read will be clear.

In Matthew chapter 13, Jesus describes the difficulty of those who do not believe in Him, and the impossibility that they can understand the depth of meaning in the Bible. Unbelievers are limited to the surface meaning of scripture, and the path that leads to salvation. It is the true believer who is Born Again by the Spirit of God, who can understand the deep things of God.
Beginning with the teaching of Parables, Jesus illustrates the different types of human heart that hear the Good News about Him.
Jesus emphasizes the fact that He conceals the truth of His word from people who deny the obvious. Paul describes the obvious in Romans 1:20: “For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.”
The existence of the universe, the earth, and humans on this planet, is intended by God as the most visible and tangible proof that God exists. Jesus and Paul state that this proof is obvious, but people “suppress truth,” in order to live as they please.
Because people who refuse to believe God exists, or only believe what they choose to believe about who God is, the truth of scripture is hidden from these persons. In the texts of Matthew chapter 13, Jesus will explain and define this reality. In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus states that the Parable of the four soils is the key to understanding all of the other Parables.[23]

I see no lie. Asking for an interpretation is not a lie.

Lol, you 'see' no lie? I bet you 'hear' no evil and 'speak' no evil either. Got your 'Vaccine' yet?
Re: What is your interpretation of the bible?
What the heck is the matter with you? Sprint is simply asking how you interpret the Bible. I thought it an impossible question to answer in such a small/short forum, but nothing devious about it.RV wrote:Lol, yeah, you can lie about it, twist what it says or just claim it says something it doesn't, Squint won't care. Why are you taking such offense?

You know, RV, people are entitled to express differing opinions, without being attacked, whether you like it or not. Your view is not the only view.
ARROGANCE much?

Re: What is your interpretation of the bible?
The Bible is a HUGE read. I had to do the "Read The Bible In A Year" program. Each day you would read some OT, some NT, a Psalm, and some Proverbs. It took about 15 minutes per day. I have the hardback version, but I think you can get it on line now.
There are several newer translations. Some are garbage and some try very hard to accurately translate directly from the original text, or at least the oldest available. I like the American Standard version. (1901) They tried so hard to do a literal translation for accuracy that it can be a little hard to understand at times, but I like accuracy.

This is the definition of interpret. i"m not sure what the Op means what is my interpretation of the bible. You read the bible and you either understand it or you don't. You can put a spin on it if you don't like what it says.
