......... “Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?”
“Caesar’s,” they replied.
He said to them, “Then give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”
They were unable to trap him in what he had said there in public.
And astonished by his answer, they became silent. .......

I agree with your assessment however, it may not be alcohol that is interfering with his head...

It tells me that there is an "unless " following but not yet mentioned. Someone could be saying they don't want you here, but it's not me and I doubt it's anyone with authority here. Anyone else you can ignore or you can push their buttons a little bit for fun. Just don't get carried away or people will consider you to be a troll and will ignore you.
I tend to let people insult me and let everyone else consider the source of the insult. Nobody wins a poo flinging contest. Smell your hands. My best quips are used to defend others from abuse. It doesn't come across as self serving and you automatically have an ally in that instance. I often agree with the abuser on the argument, but don't like their abusive behavior.

My interpretation is Jesus is demonstrating the difference between any political/financial/judicial/militsry/penal system and a Spiritual belief. In this case Christianity.
Caesar was THE political/legal/judical/military system. Whatever he said was the law.
Jesus did not oppose Caesars right to a tax in any way. Jesus paid it in full on the spot.
He does it with a bit of humor too.
'Whose image is on the coin? '.
Well, we have the Queen on some our ours. You may have George Washington on some of yours.
If it's got their face on it, it is theirs. (That system). Give it to them as is right.

OK S.c., if you have a suitable answer, why did you post it az a kweshun? Uv what concern iz it to u what anyone thinks about anything. Seems you just want to stirrup discussions. There are more than a few people on the this forum what think that is your sole purpus. In fact sum think you are nothing more than a fake entity who does nothing more than drive controversy
