Not a paid holiday yet i am assuming. Maybe Joe can finish the job in 2023/24.
And how does one go about celebrating Lesbian Visibility Week and Day??
OMG... if ever there was a need to pop in and remind you fine folks that Sappho was not a lesbian... it is now!
I wouldn't have a problem if you were ?
No, no... not referring to me, But to the real Sappho of Lesbos, who was a famous writer of marriage poetry, who is also the first known female poet in history!
So if it was a female lesbian, what could they possibly offer anyone about heterosexual marriage?
Re: Lesbian visibility week and Day
Maybe Sappho wasn't a lesbian..i don't know for sure, but her name has been used as a description for lesbian love. There is some BS that the romans/greeks didn't think about sex the way we do. I find that hard to believe...humans don't change... they manage to get worse somehow. (sapphic...women loving women and lesbian from the island lesbos, where sappho lived)
but i say that wiith all due respect to our poster, Sappho.

I can't find anything wrong with lesbians . All the ones I know are quite nice to be honest and to tell you the truth if I were a female I wouldn't go near a freaking guy either so Id probably become a lesbian too

Yeah, I'm sure that the one who shot their way into a Christian school and killed those six people in Tenn. was 'quite nice' also...

So, have they gone back into hiding? Their week is over.

Yep.
That's exactly the behavior I'd expect. I worked in a county office - county welfare. The Director was an MSW who was a lesbian. Middle-aged and married - the marriage was a "beard" for both of them. Her husband was the county's biggest cocksman over 25. My ex worked for him before I met her, and the stories I'd gotten told...him engaging in his favorite activities in his office with the door open, etc.
SHE ran the county office as her realm. She hired ONLY women, and the ones who stayed were almost all bi or lesbian. And they were not nice. About four of them were reasonably attractive. NONE were even civil, beyond the duties of the job.
Myself and four other males were hired after someone from State Administrative Services, warned the county that they were viable for a discrimination lawsuit. This was right after the Alan Bakke case in California - for a brief time, Reverse Discrimination was a Thing.
So we were all hired...and, with Graham-Rudman-Hollings passed, stipulating deficit reductions (later ignored) Miss Ellen had the excuse she needed to sack all us puke-awful men. We were all gone.

Before I became a criminal investigator, I too worked at a county welfare dept. as a caseworker! There were mostly women there as well and several lesbians. I left because I had a family and wasn't the right gender to be promoted...
