Train Carrying Harzardous Materials Derails near Detroit

My property will be about 15 miles from the nearest railroad track. I think I'm liking that about now. My brother lives 1/2 mile from the tracks.

I grew up about 100 yards from the tracks.
When I got old enough I moved, and lived another 33 years about 75 yards from the tracks.

When I was very young , a train partialy derailed by the house. It stayed there about 2 days. Nothing hazardous that I remember.
I was on my bike on the road watching the train pass at the crossing about 20 feet away from the passing cars when it jumped the track somewhere up ahead closer to the engine.

The train came to an almost immediate stop. It was eerie. I knew something was wrong, although I may have been 6 or 7 years old.
