Australia’s $5 note is set to undergo a royal redesign following the decision to dump King Charles III from the legal tender.

The British head of state will be replaced with a new design which “honours the culture and history of the First Australians“, the Reserve Bank confirmed on Thursday.

“The other side of the $5 banknote will continue to feature the Australian parliament,” the RBA said.

“This decision by the Reserve Bank board follows consultation with the Australian government, which supports this change,” it said.

It’s expected the new pink note won’t enter circulation for a number of years as the central bank consults with First Australians on the redesign.

Firstly, the RBA does NOT have the authority to dictate who is on Aussie currency!  This is a dictate from the Albanese government without consultation with the Australian people.  Tradition dictates the monarch is always represented on the $5 note.   There are plenty of aboriginal depictions of art and/or people on much of the Aussie currency already.  Far more than is representative of their 3%.

More than 60% of Australians don't want a republic.  58% of the loony left don't want a republic.

This is just the Albanese government being totally dishonest yet again, trying to totally dismantle Australian traditions and dividing Australians more and more with their gut churning woke symbolism.  Australia Day, the currency   ...  next it will be the flag, the anthem, the name Australia.

The more everything is "first nation" the more people become divided and, hopefully, will be so fed up with it all they vote an overwhelming NO to the Voice and kick this loony left government to the kerb.  I'm not fond of Charles but I detest the loony left virtue signalling a great deal more than I care about Charles.

You are between a rock and a chuck. Though the rock has a bit more personality. You can always chuck the rock, you are still stuck with the chuck.

How many died laughing reading this bit?
“To think that an unelected king should be on our currency in place of First Nations leaders and elders and eminent Australians is no longer justifiable at a time of truth telling, reconciliation and ultimately formal, cultural and intellectual independence,” he said.

It did sound like some people w/some clout had something to say about this. Hopefully, enough to set things right.

Well I was thinking more in the lines of giving Libs a vax for whatever's ailing them, but you may be on to a bit of a better idea there.
