Thanks. Seems there'd be more drama to the situation had the baby died.

Another marvel. "Rachel" has been able to keep her identity unknown. Can't tell ya how much I admire that.

It's unfortunate that the name of the perpetrator was kept silent (until his death) due to his age. I'm against that. Name and shame in violent crimes no matter how old they are. Violent psychotics shouldn't get a free pass just because they are underage.

Those 2 little murderous pricks in the UK who tortured and murdered that poor little James Bulger were protected and even given multiple new identities and when they were released at age 18 they re-offended.

Name and shame I say.  People have a right to know who they live next door to.  They shouldn't have lifelong privacy.  They shouldn't have any privacy at all.  I don't care how old they are.

And to make it even more ridiculous if you try to search their addresses you can end up in prison.

I didnt say I agreed with it,

Under the previous government we had a three strikes law , Labour cancelled it. . I feel confident it will be brought back in again

Agreed. Hold back until found guilty. Then, all bets are off.

IIRC, (and I very well might not), keeping the names of minorities out of the news started with protecting the innocent. Then, enter the Liberal, and it was decided that it was discrimination to protect one minority, and not the other. a.k.a., the innocent, and the guilty. Or, if you name one - the guilty - you've got to name the other.

Stupid stuff, yeah, but of course the conservatives went along with protecting both, rather than expose the innocent. Looks like they allowed themselves to be set up into an either/or situation. But then, Republicans are famous for it.
