They have gearboxes that need lubrication,

It's not like a squirt of WD40 is gonna take care of the problem when someone detects a squeak.

Most people with mechanical knowledge would know it


They dont burn it, It can be removed cleaned and put back in

You and I know that but the average American has no idea these things require quite a bit of OIL! Damn things are huge, and so are the gearboxes.
