Customer beats clerk, clerk shoots customer

NOT dollar general...it's O'Reillys.

What do you think will happen? I think the shooter will be arrested regardless of the fact she was assaulted. They'll say the beating stopped and she shot out of revenge or something like that and then she'll be sued in civil court.

Personally. I don't care that she shot the attacker.

I did a search on 'O'Reilly shootings,' and found 2, basically. One from last June, and one that happened in July. It seems O'Reilly's is/are a magnet for shootouts. (There's older stories, and lots of 'em.)

I saw this somewhere today. Didnt look at the specifics. But the clerk was indeed arrested for protecting herself.

I've read that the employee made nasty comments about the customer's mother and it escalated from there.

I think the employee is in trouble. The woman quit attacking the employee and then she went and got the gun. She could have easily filed assault charges. Her shooting her attacker will be seen as revenge and no self defense. It's an excrement sandwich, but she's going to have to eat it.
