It's what we are all stuck with though unless you are happy with a self appointed dictator. We can't expect anything to change, anywhere, unless we vote for or against what we don't like. Dontcha think?

Unfortunately I cannot bring myself to vote for someone I dont believe in.
I will not go to a polling booth and say to myself..."Im not voting for him or her...should I just vote for him...maybe her..."
Voting is a popularity contest and those people interviewed in the streets
every election day are simply conned into voting for a particular person
simply because of that persons slimy delivery of his/her spiel and his/her
mannerisms...
Politicians are the lords and barons of yesteryear...
I will not vote for them because I dont trust any of them, nor
do I have any belief in the "system"...
If this is the only "system" mankind has to offer, then Im
not interested...I want no part of it.....

Well I don't know about everyone else but I don't vote because of what the media says nor because of their spiels or mannerisms.  

Bring a representative democracy people vote for those who perform best in their own area and to represent their voice in parliament, or dump those who don't.   We can't expect change if we aren't willing to have a hand in it.

Anyway, that's how I view things for what it's worth.

I used to believe this.

I'm not sure I still do.

Our problems are politics, but not civil politics, not anymore. We're dealing with radical nihilist racists who hate white skin...most of them white themselves.

They're insane and they have control of government power. There is only one solution, now, I fear - and it's not a ballot.

I'm a believer in participatory democracy.

But that's no longer what we have. We have an Elite Political Class - America avoided it; it's model was the Citizen-Legislator, a well-heeled farmer or businessman, taking some years off to work in Washington.

That ended with the New Deal and the 17th Amendment, taking the Senate seats away from State legislatures and filling them with direct election. That took the States' voice in Washington away; and Washington, under Roosevelt, ran riot. They essentially distorted or ignored the Constitution, thrusting government into every aspect of every life.

Businesses responded by exercising their "right to petition for redress of grievances" - that was where lobbying started. Lobbyists found they were more effective if they paper-clipped their requests, to campaign-donation money.

That became expected, and then, big business. Lobbyists now fund BOTH sides. They are on the winning side, regardless. And lobbyists keep their favorite Congress-cretins elected.

And the Congress-cretins stay in FOREVER, with unlimited funds and the ability to twist or ignore election laws. And businesses, ostensibly regulated, OWNS these cretins.

Now we have the evil, feckless, ignorant class of American boofheads more-or-less permanently in there.

Only a projectile-dispenser will clear them out.
