Friend of the family bought a house (to live in...not an investment...) twelve months ago for $1 million
Thinking of selling...
Current evaluation $1.3 million...
How can this go on....
How can anyone justify an inflation rate of 33% on real estate
prices over a period of twelve months....
We are in deep shit.....

The prices go up because the value of your currency is down.

Because it's debased.

By money-printing.

That's the actual meaning of "inflation." Inflating the currency - printing up more (or creating it, electronically) with no actual wealth to back it up.

It's a tax. It taxes savers and those on fixed income. Their wealth is transferred to those who receive the New Money; and also to debtors - who pay back their loans in devalued currency. Those who lent money at low interest, lose.

Of course, your wages don't rise automatically. You get hurt. The money-changers' income DOES rise, and out of proportion. They love this.

It ends with a currency collapse, and usually with violent riots or revolution.
