Drug cartels in Mnexico control all the export avocado business now which originates from only one province.

They are between $1 - $1.50 each here at the moment.  Hass variety.  The other varieties seem to be lost in limbo at the moment. Bummer cuz I love my guacamole.

Poof. Haas is the bomb for flavor and creamyness. There's some huge avocado things here for fairly cheap with about the same size seed. So a good value. My brother in Texas loves them . My experiences with those whoppers has not been so great.
But then again, a coonass don't have no business eating that in the first place.

On a separate note. I went with my pop to Sam's Club many years ago.
Some Mexicans were loading their groceries into the van .
They had a 50 lb. bag of pinto beans ! I never seen such a thing! Lol.

Pintos are the cheapest bean out there. And I cook them more often than any other bean. They're not as flavorful as red or white beans and seem to take longer to cook as they don't cream or break down into a bean gravy like other beans.

I have come across a variety here that is large and round and doesn't go brown when ripe, good for guacamole
