Don't throw your Keurig in the trash...
When I first heard about the Keurig coffee maker, I was thrilled. As a working mom, every morning is a paradox: I need coffee to function, but I don’t have time to make it. The idea of a machine that could make piping-hot coffee at the push of a button seemed like an answered prayer.
At first, the machine seemed to deliver as promised. They work just as quickly as everyone says, producing any coffee you want within seconds of pushing the button. But over time, I began to get disillusioned with the coffee it made.
A Lukewarm Reception
“Why does this cup taste so bland?!” I asked my husband one morning. Actually, I was probably snapping at him at the time, but in fairness, I hadn’t had any coffee yet.
He shrugged. “They’re probably trying to trick you into using two K-Cups to make one cup of coffee.”
A few days later, while I was trying to explain to our daughter that she couldn’t wear her Halloween costume to school because it was April, I took a sip of coffee and almost spit it into the sink right then and there.

a coffee brewer that costs that much to purchase and then the price of the cups ought not to have a problem.

Some instant coffees are not to bad.
Especially if they are made well, add the cold water first, then coffee, then boiling hot water.
That way the coffee grinds are not burnt.
I keep my nice coffees for when we are out at a cafe.

Re: Don't throw your Keurig in the trash...
I had one.
Coffee was not the best, but, early-morning, it was acceptable. I alternated between brewed and Keurig.
The GD thing lasted EIGHT MONTHS. I used distilled water in it, since our water is full of crap...and then, the explanation I got by Keurig fans was, it was because it's not designed for distilled water.
Anyway. The computer locked up, brainfarted, and all the reset techniques didn't work. Nobody repairs them - it went in the trash.
I won't buy another. I had about 20 Keurig cups left - I cut them open and poured the grounds into a filter in my other coffeemaker. Another big waste.
NOT INTERESTED. It was nothing but a ripoff.

The problem with the brew is it doesn't get hot enough . Good coffee only reaches its peak when the temp is 200° going through those grounds and most brewers never hit that temp .
