Nobuo Fujita was conscripted into the Imperial Japanese Navy in 1932 and began flight training a year later. In 1935, he began testing experimental Zero fighters. After his West Coast bombing mission, he made only one more reconnaissance flight, over Noumea, New Caledonia, and spent the rest of the war in Japan training new pilots. The date was Sept. 9, 1942.

Less than a year earlier, imperial Japan launched a surprise attack against Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, a major American naval base. Instead of crippling the United States, this attack only awakened the giant. The war was now in full swing, and with U.S. bombers touching the Japanese home isles under Col. James Doolittle’s raids, the reality was setting in for the Pacific empire.

Amid this chaos, a Japanese submarine quietly surfaced off the Oregon coast.

Nobuo Fujita, a Japanese naval pilot, waited as a seaplane was pieced together by the empire’s sailors and loaded onto a deck-mounted catapult.

Finally, it was ready to launch. Fujita climbed aboard and was thrown into the air. Armed with two thermite firebombs, he set a course for the wilderness near the sleepy town of Brookings.

in 43 they tried. never heard of this guy. for you to say he targettd a town, and then admit it was the forest means its tainted, and subject to falsehoods.

sure. im the troll. you posted something that had very little to do with setting the northwestern forest on fire, and im the troll. im not gonna get in a pissing contest here to determine which urine sample smells of lilac. from your own OP its quite apparent you have extremely little knowledge in the japs attempt to screw us over. because of you vehiment assult on my intent, i will part by quoting japanese....ASSHOLE
