The Butterfly Forest

Many years ago in our backyard I started to create a Butterfly Forest.

when i was in saugus, i was about to enter a pine tree area ( small pine growth ) when a red bird landed about three or four feet in front of my face. it started to chirp at me, and flutterred its feathers a few times, taking about 20-30 seconds to tell me to stand still and protect it. i did. presently it and about 15-20 others came from nowhere and decended to the forest floor and frantically turned over every leaf that was there within my immediate view and ate all the bugs, then they all flew off togther. nature can be so joyous if we just allow it to be.

My wife bought some 'native crickets' as live food for the birds in The Butterfly Forest.
I was a bit concerned as I likened them to locusts, apparently they are not.

The crickets make a nice sound.

you should listen to the one who is presently telling you to get rid of the cigar, stop drinking the beer, stop playing pool with Lampwick, and stop busting up the chairs. remember now. if you tell lies, your nose will grow long.
