Re: Queensland Forest Tiny House
I've lived in a "tiny house." A cabin I rented, for two months, in St. Ignace, Michigan...right near the Mackinac Bridge.
Rent was cheap and it was furnished REAL nice and cleverly. Bed was comfy; and it had a kitchen as big as you'd find in a Winnebago; but better furnished. BUT.
In nice weather (I moved in in September 2009) it was fine. Big grassy area common to the five cabins in this former motel. Sit outside with a soda and book, and read. Go for a walk. I had my motorcycle with me (I had recently taken work up that way) and I'd get out and about.
By late October, the cold fall rains moved in; and then snow in November. You're locked in. Heat was electric and fine and paid for as part of the rent...but. Mold was growing in the bathroom, because everything in the cabin would get steamed from the shower. I didn't have a place to really stretch out, except in bed - the dining table was cramped.
A month of that and I was going NUTS. I'd drive 30 miles to a college in Saulte Ste. Marie, just to walk around or sit in the library or student union.
Even my smallish apartment, here, gives me room enough to pace, a little, at least.
People NEED SPACE. No matter what Klaus thinks he can order us to be happy with.
