@Red Lily, I could probably pull off the abs exercises, but the glutes look real doubtful.
Hmm. Hate to back out on ya, but I think it's best I put it off.
Sorry

And no, it's not any smooth walk. It's a dirt driveway; rocky, w/parts of it hill climbing. I got it down to 12.5 minutes.
That, however, is no longer the case. Talk about the winter of our discontent. It about ruined me. And while I knew what I was doing, I plain just didn't care. Oops.
So, here it is, near a year later. My hips don't work so hot, but I'm determined to make them better because not being in decent shape simply isn't me.
Good luck with that. I hear you.
I tweaked my back about 10 days ago. STILL taking very good care of it.
Amazing, I did very little to cause this, am 'better than average' fitness for a 59 year old and VERY aware of posture when lifting, stretching etc etc etc . 5 seconds of an unmindful action and 'PTANG'.
Is isometrics ok for your upper torso at this stage ?
I'm sure isometrics would be okay, but I don't much see the point.
I know someone who had bursitis.
Yes, not so good.

No problem 2. You're already doing something and I'm not. I haven't looked fully at any of them but if they're too hard I'll skip them lol.

Thanks for the sympathetic note. It's an odd thing, to be sure. The notes say it's likely from neglecting stretching exercises prior to working out. ??? So now I'm supposed to stretch out before vacuuming or going out to the garden?Sprintcyclist wrote:2cent wrote:The doc has got me on a set of stretching and strengthening exercises for bursitis, but I plumb forgot to ask if I should keep them up at my appt today. Really, it's got me.
Now I'm thinking it might be a pinched nerve, and I'm kicking myself for not bringing that up to the doc.
Anyway, MRI's as soon as the hospital calls w/an appt.

No problem 2. You're already doing something and I'm not. I haven't looked fully at any of them but if they're too hard I'll skip them lol.
Then again, here's something that might incentivize you: I lost 2lbs. since my last appt 1 mo. ago.

@Red Lily, I've got it figured out for ya. Ya know how back in the day the wealthy had "whipping boys?" Well see? All you need is an "Exercise Girl!" Voila! Problem solved.
