I don't think the vaccine is worthless.  It's not meant to stop you from getting Covid it's meant to reduce your symptoms if you do get infected.   It also won't stop you from spreading the virus to the vaccinated OR un-vaccinated so there should be no shaming towards people who don't wish to take it or vice versa.

If you have no natural antibodies it does appear to reduce your symptoms and keep you off ventilators so there's that.  Long term effects are totally unknown though and now they expect you to back up every other month for yet another jab and I'll take a big 'no thanks' to that one.

As Billy was pointing out yesterday we now have things like Molnupiravir available which will knock the virus down within a few days and probably leave you with antibodies as well.  How do all of these drugs interact?   We have no clue.

Whether I decide to succumb or not so I don't have to be a prisoner in my own home is yet to be seen.   To each his own I say but to think this is not being forced upon us is naive and I will not be forced into something at the whim of any government.   That's not free choice nor is it harming others who choose differently.

Look after the elderly, take sensible precautions and just do what you think is right for you and yours.

Thank you for the response, what about the other 2, W.H. and CDC? As for WaPo, NYT, etc I have found Mad Magazine, National Enquirer, the Onion and Babylon Bee to be slightly more truthful and accurate. Of course none of those have reached the depths of integrity of Ed Asner's favorite outlet "The Guardian"

The problem with stats is how you want to read them , taking little bits in isolation can give you a false impression of the bigger picture


In NZ they are painting the delta variant as being more easily contracted by younger people , But if you take into consideration that 25 percent of the population have been vaccinated and most of those people are aged 50 plus, its not surprising that younger people are the majority, and younger people do to not socially distance as well as the older population,  just depends how you want to interpret the stats,

They are free here for most people so at least I'm gettin a bit of my not so hard earned back

Ive never worked very hard in my life, I try and work smart, for the best buck going  

And I dont mind stepping on a few less motivated people along the way lol
