Little boy and Russell the crow are best buds

How did they pick the name Russell.....is it actually Russell or is it a reference to rustle.

Crows appear to be the brightest of birds, and maybe one of the smartest animals. They've been seen to use tools to make tools to obtain food. They seem to understand spacial relationships - dropping rocks into a beaker filled partly with water, with food floating on the top, to raise the water level. They will drop acorns on the road for cars to drive over so they can enjoy the inner meats.

That said, they are BIRDS. I cannot imagine a bird forming a bond with a child like that.

Also...wild birds can carry louse...bird lice. You want a lousy kid? Have him play with wild birds.
