Kari Lake was offered bribe to stay out of politics for 2 years by AZ GOP

This morning he vowed that he would not resign but apparently Lake's team said do it or face more info going to media.

he says Kari Lake is taking over the party.   sure. LOL    I"m sure he and his fellow snakes in the grass have it well in hand.

In his resignation statement DeWit claimed he simply suggested postponing her plans for two years in order to run for governor again.

'It was a suggestion made in good faith, believing it could benefit both her future prospects and the party's overall strategy,' he said.

He admitted he 'said things I regret' but accused Lake of 'deceptive tactics' and of releasing a 'selectively edited' audio recording.

'The recording, from over ten months ago, is not only taken out of context but also undermines the integrity of private discussions critical for party leadership,' he said.

Lake's senior advisers Carolina Wren and Garrett denied any underhand tactics.

'No one from the Kari Lake campaign threatened or blackmailed DeWit,' they said.

They called on him to apologize to the people of Arizona and added: 'The tape speaks for itself.'

In it DeWit tells Lake one of the most public faces of the former president's MAGA movement and a woman frequently spoken of as a 2024 vice-presidential pick, that he thinks Trump will lose and it is time to make way for someone else.

After asking her not to mention the conversation to anyone, he makes his first offer.

'So the ask I got today from back east was: "Is there any companies out there or something that could just put her on the payroll to keep her out?’

Lake reacts with indignation.



People like DeWitt are who kept that snake McCain in office.   DeWitt's remarks are a stain on every single politicians in Arizona.

Dewitt says their conversation was taken out of context.   If that were so, he wouldn't have resigned.

i'd like to know who back east made the suggestion for the offer.   Giving orders to DeWitt? Kevin McCarthy??

The more our own corruption is exposed on the World stage, the more we look like hypocrites and easily bought politicians for all their fancy posturing and giving themselves awards. Foreigners laugh at us and our own citizens are fed up and getting angrier.

Jeff DeWit has caused his own problems and exposed HIMSELF. JUST how many of our so called leaders are actually swamp dwellers. In true form, he accepts no responsibility for his own actions and blames others....'i'm resigning to stop her attacks, she took my remarks out of context'. With these types it always somebody else's fault but not his.

Accounts I've read of newcomers to Congress, say this is commonplace. Party insiders take the "winner" aside and say, that was a nice campaign, but this is how we do things. You vote as we tell you to vote.
