I want a 10-12 ft 4k projector with surround sound. I want to use it as a giant monitor also.

I plan on exposed metal ceilings. I can hang Christmas decorations from my ceiling and find a way to hang stockings near the wood burning stove. Let's see Santa get his fat self down that chimney.

Throw out the obsolete stuff - VCR and the like - and fill it with stuff you need to store.  Extra dishes, or emergency gear.  I don't stream movies - I have them on DVDs or on external drives.  They're far more compact than videotape cartridges but they do take up space.

You could even put a computer in there, inside, with a remote keyboard, and work to rig your screen to double as a large monitor for streaming online programming.  Or if you want to go search something, or type out an email with the wife, or whatever.

Space is always useful; and practical, attractive furniture gives more than it takes in terms of space.

Again you bring up good points but we've got a computer room and for the technical stuff and I'm not crazy about using a big screen as my monitor . I'm not into streaming either and I don't even watch TV for that matter . On the weekend I'll tune into some sports or watch a DYI channel . I just told the wife that I want to see the new movie Napoleon that's coming out and she reminded me that the last movie I went to was Under the Tuscan Sun and I fell asleep so that show you my attentiveness to the silver screen lol . I'm going to take the Cherry wood entertainment center and put it in the playroom in the basement that nobody goes to anymore so at least it'll be saved but things have to move on and change is good .
