I have no sympathy for rapists, but this doesn't pass the smell test. Why were the cases tried together? It's an attempt to corroborate for each other, but they were separate events and should come down to his word against hers in each case.

That's what bugged me. Especially considering the time span between each of the cases. And the geography. If the geography of each of the cases came up, I have to admit, I forget. IAC, if convictions of prior cases are not allowed to be brought up by the prosecution, then why was this allowed? Basically the same thing, if you ask me.

This lady when I was on TikTok I was trying to get her to get help a few years back. I hope she did. She only told her boyfriend & me at the time what happened. I had felt lead to pray for her one night. She told me that week that during that night was left in a compromising position having passed out & woke up to some strange man sexually assaulting her. If she hadn't woke up when she did it would have been worse. She ran, called her boyfriend. {I'm leaving out some details & there was a specific reason she was in that position that wasn't her fault.} I suggest she get help & report it. But her shame was great. She kept saying she felt filthy & dirty. She had already been through some trauma with an ex husband. So I can understand what keeps these women from not saying anything. This woman had her boyfriend & at the time she had me, a praying Christian willing to step up to help however I could. I gave her some organizations she could contact that would help her. I lost touch with her after I left TikTok but I hope she did get the help & counseling even if she might not have reported.

Rape is now a code word for Politically Incorrect. If you want to silence someone and punish them for CrimeThink, you find some tramp who will take money to file rape charges.

I'm leaning more and more towards thinking that yours is the correct 'take' on this. I hate it that there are so few credible sources anymore. (Like I'm telling you anything new.)
