Climate activists ask people to turn off lights, close blinds to prevent '1 billion birds' from dying from crashing into windows

Erin Reed Miller, whose title at Audubon is senior coordinator for bird-friendly communities, said that she and another community activist collect 500 birds every four months from around approximately 25 buildings in Baltimore.

"We are just walking four months out of the year, 25 buildings, and we collect between 450 to 500 birds, and that's just 25 buildings," said Lindsay Jacks, director of Lights Out Baltimore, another bird protectionist organization.

{50 years of life I have lived on this planet. Sailing from port to port & in my life I have not seen one bird fly into a window and die into any building I've been around or on any sea vessel I've been on or commanding.}

I've had a at least one bird hit my window and die. I've had one or two others hit and then recover and fly off. I watched the dead bird's mate pull him/her out from the shrub bed and wait for it to revive.of course it didn't. It was very sad.

these people make an issue out of 500 birds a year when way more than that are killed bu those wind turbines and not a word about that. killing eagles and other endangered birds and not. a word.

Are you noticing that the US is having one catastrophe after another....i think it started in january 2020.
