And leave it to the Guardian to come up with the most mind-numbing "thoughts," that only warped minds can.

Firework pyromaniacs were also more likely to be in the US south and midwest, where people spend twice as much on average as those in the north-east and west.

Of course those wanting, and having the ability to, celebrate Independence Day are nothing but pyromaniacs, with wanton destruction on their minds. These people need to be SHUT. UP.


Personally, I think the surge in fireworks sales is people in chains having a real need to cut loose!

I have to honestly say that I outgrew fireworks many years back.  The noise and smell just irritate the heck out of me nowadays and after hearing too many atrocious stories over the years I'm forever worried about the poor animals because, in general, too many people are just totally irresponsible.  

Shoot me!

Big fireworks in town, on the north end of horseshoe lake at 9pm.
If we go out to end of the pier, I think we'll get a good view around the bend.

I love the smell of freshly shot gunpowder! 
From guns or fireworks. 

But some deep purple or black Sabbath on the box and the animals won't even here it.

Of course, any celebration surrounding the Fourth of July is indicative of mental illness - pyromania, infantilism, gender-revealing.

Just as, having fifty-something men shove their genitals in children's faces during Sodomite Pride parades, is liberating and loving.

FWIW, I'm with some others here...I have no interest in things going boom. Outside my patio door, tonight, it sounds like the DMZ. If someone wants to commit murder, tonight's a good day to do it - no one will identify the gunshot.

It's funny, too, because I - as a young adult - used to play around a lot with fireworks. My ex's father, who was a decade younger than I am now, used to stage a private fireworks launch on their 5-acre spread. Boys being boys.

My own father never had an interest - I always figured it was because of his war experiences. But now, I don't have an interest, either.

That doesn't keep me from getting annoyed at the Guardian's mind-twisting propaganda.

We here have outgrown it, too. All good things must come to pass, I suppose. But, boy howdy, if we didn't know how to throw some humdingers of a party!!
