Re: Robert F.Kennedy talks about his ancestors
Kennedy with Joe Rogan, over on Bitchute. Three-hour interview.
I don't have links; the site I got it from, goes down every night for two hours for "maintenance." Fish around, using Startpage and Brave Search - or try Bitchute's own search tool.
It was a worthwhile interview. In discussing his history of coming to oppose Big Pharma, Kennedy was rational and logical in thought. I don't have the skill to evaluate his arguments, but they were NOT made from emotion. He laid it out, in terms that Rogan, and I, could understand.
In discussing our current foreign-policy mess, he's less encouraging. He reverts to the Old-School Democrat standby position - all problems need be met by GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS. IGNORING that we got into the Ukraine and NATO messes by do-gooder programs that, in 70 years, had mission creep, then a complete abandonment of the original mission in favor of the Endless War Military-Industrial Complex's craving for government money. People like Eisenhower, who wanted postwar Europe to grow, and Kennedy, who wanted to help the Third World with clean water and schools...gave way to people like Fat Vicky Nuland, who wants to use American might to wipe out Russia, and Doctor Billy Gates, who has given Africa "vaccination" programs that kill and sterilize.
The answer here is to keep government OUT of these areas. Eventually, bad people WILL take control of them.
THIS is something that I, a former liberal, know well. I don't know if Rogan has figured it out yet. Obviously Kennedy has not and probably cannot.
Is he perhaps an acceptable choice? Not sure. He's IMHO smarter than Trump, if not so clear on a mission. He's certainly the most-lucid of all the Circle-D candidates.

YOU were a liberal. SO was i in college and once i got out into the working world, my mind changed PDQ. What's your story.
I think, i don't know for certain but i do believe that one must come to his/her senses rather early regarding liberalism or one is lost for good.

Oh, I'd covered it many times. I'm surprised you never read it, long ago.
I was changed. How? Ronald Reagan changed me.
Seriously. I took seriously, the mass panic attack that the Left and university campii were having back in 1980. Ronnie Ray-Gun, the man so stupid he had to co-star with a chimp in B-movies...thought he was in the Army because he made a movie in a uniform. He's gonna start WWIII. He's gonna bankrupt the nation with his asinine Tax Cuts. He's SENILE. He's a haircut in search of a brain. OMFG, what are we all gonna DO?
NONE of that came to be. First flummox, for all the Left, was that the Iran hostages were released in HOURS. Why that...that PROVES there was a deal! CON-SPIRACY!
Next, of course, the tightening of credit, to choke down interest rates. YES, 1981 and 1982 were painful years. I was in and out of work, at minimum wage, in those years. But that is what is going to happen when runaway inflation and runaway baseline-budgeting spending, are replaced by government budget reforms and market interest rates. There's a heavy cost, in adjustment - just as there will be, whether we reform our money-printing debt economy, or let the dollar collapse.
THEN...TAX CUTS. How imbecilic.
Funny thing, I never heard of Arthur Laffer. Even though he was a professor at Cornell - just a few hundred miles from me, and in fact my parents were Cornell alumni. There was a COMPLETE MEDIA BLACKOUT on Art Laffer and his theory, the Laffer Curve. How there was an optimum rate of taxation...raise tax rates beyond that point, and incentive to work and be taxed, drops off. Laffer had told the Reagan people, that the current Tax Table had us WAY past that point.
Which was only common sense, when you look at tax rates in those days.
Well...of course, the DemocRat caucus, looking at losing midterm elections, bit the bullet and passed the Tax Cuts. And instead of collapsing our economy and government....tax receipts INCREASED, and NOT by a little. The economy took off like a rocket, and for a 25-year flight. Yes, there were some down years; but Billy Tumescent's "Worst Recession in Forty Years" of 1992, would have looked like Happy Days in 1979.
EVERYTHING the Left said about Reagan, his plans, his programs, his principles, was wrong. That told me, flat out, I was listening to the wrong people. So, over the years, I tried to learn about WHY. WHY do government programs fail. WHY does a city save money by contracting out trash pickup - it's illogical.
Milton Friedman, no true conservative, had his moments. He spoke of the Four Ways To Spend Money":
--Spend YOUR money on YOURSELF
--Spend YOUR money on SOMEONE ELSE
--Spend SOMEONE ELSE's money on yourself
--Spend SOMEONE ELSE's money on someone else.
Option 1: You look for the best compromise, price and quality.
Option 2: You look ONLY at the lowest cost to satisfy the reason you're spending that money.
Option 3: You're going to get THE most costly and frill-laden product you can get. Price doesn't matter, not to you.
Option 4: You care nothing for price or quality. You look to get rebates/kickbacks, look to cultivate friendships or working relationships.
Obviously, Option 4 is how government spends money. Which is why virtually all government programs start as schitt-generation and get worse.
I used to say, I could only think of two government programs that worked: The United States military; and Conrail - the government rebuilding of the bankrupt Penn Central Railroad.
Well, that's changed. The Military has gone Woke. All that's left is Conrail; and that, only because it became a short-term project. It was privatized in 1988. Conrail is gone, thanks to money manipulators (merger-mania) but while it ran, it was the smallest of the nation's Class I railroads, but the most profitable.
Government is not the only thing that fails. Crony corporatists fail often, too...and modern railroads are run essentially by crony corporatists and their captured regulatory officials.

an old democrat generally does not change his stripes. Lying comes natural.

I know what he's doing. I don't approve; but I know what he's doing.
He's trying to ingratiate himself to the Dumbo base. That's why he suddenly started promising "Reparations" off the Magic Money Tree.
It seems, at this point, principles aren't as important, anymore, as **WINNING**.
Are his views on the Jab gonna change, once the Pfizer bagmen make it inside his camp?
Something to consider. And this, just when Trump insiders start floating a Kennedy-VP ticket.
Nope...Vivek is now the best VP choice, IMHO.

I didn't realize there was already a Kennedy thread, or I would've added mine to here, not started a new one.Calypso Jones wrote:https://rumble.com/v2unv3q-robert-kennedy-jr.-hotboxin-with-mike-tyson.html

IAC, I tried to listen to that interview, and only made it a few minutes in. Will maybe try again later. Does he get around to saying anything of substance, and/or his throat clear up some? I feel for the guy, but you aren't going to find too many people who'll listen to a grainy voice, and presidents do need to be heard.
