If homemade tartar sauce is any indication...homemade mayo is going to be way superior to store bought.

Thanks for reminding me. I had forgotten it is easy to make.

I used to make it all the time. A 30oz jar of Hellman's(Best food) is about $5 now with high egg and Vege oil prices.

I have a cupla doze hand blenders I never use. Great for puree in the pot. Like to make bean soup.

I included the second video so you could see how to do it in the food processor. Blender would work too.

I hardly use the food processor anymore. and wouldn't pull it out for 20 ounces of mayo anyway. LOL

They contradict each other Lol. The first one says to use a high quality oil like avocado or olive oil but the second one says not to use olive oil. Personally I like the first one.

Because there is egg in mayo it doesn't keep long and I'd never eat enough to warrant making that much but I love garlic aioli (no egg, no mayo). Some people add mayo as a 'cheats' aioli but that isn't aioli it's just garlic mayo. Aioli is great with just about anything and especially good to dip your chips into.
