Gary Rossington Passes Away at 71

Good vid but the music sucks.
They could have just as easily played Simple Man, instead.

He was a master at his craft but always remained a simple man

He defined Southern Rock and influenced generations.

RIP Gary.

After the plane crash, and tragic losses, LS Rebranded as The Rossington-collins band not knowing how to fill the Skynyrd gap.

I knew exactly who they were but never realized it was just the whole damn band with a new name.

Dale Kranz was recruited to front the band.
She was beautiful, had a raspy, rock voice, and great stage presence.
She eventually became Mrs. Gary Rossington.  

The band later recruited Ronnie's brother Johnny and resumed as Skynyrd.

The media is saying he's the last original member. That's not true.

Artimius Pyle(drummer when they hit the big time) and Ed King are still alive.

Ed King was da man and did all the Fills on Second Helping. He's also featured on the album cover.

Didnt Artimus Pyle survive the LS plane crash....
Rossington was good...
One of my all time favourite bands...

I didn't know there was a history past the plane crash.

I wasn't a big LS fan, but some guys I knew, were.

So now it's curtains time for the second time.

Billy Powell was a fantastic pianist (his contribution in
Sweet Home Alabama Ive always remembered...)
Ronnie was one of the best front men ever...
I feel sadly, with Johnnie up front the band was never the same...
although Johnnies version of Simple Man in Tennessee was memorable...
